Need help diagnosing this engine hiccup...
05 Baja in Las Vegas, 38K, new plugs, wires, air filter, and oil.
Symptoms:
1) Poor gas mileage. I'm getting about 18 MPG, 75% city driving.
2) It dogs on takeoff sometimes, like it's flooded.
3) While in drive at a stop light idling at around 750RPM's I experience a random hiccup that actually jogs the whole car significantly. First time it happened I thought someone bumped into me that's how serious it is. It will happen only 7 or 8 times as I wait for the light to change. It's not repetitious like a misfire, its totally sporadic. Sometimes 2 or 3 in a row will hit, sometimes only 1 followed by a long pause of perfect idling. It Happens more when the AC is on and less if I put the car in neutral while sitting there so it seems like some sort of idle control device malfunctioning but I have no idea really.
Any help would be appreciated

Come on he's a yank, he needs all the help he can get! A Baja is an outback pickup (sort of)....
18mpg US is about 22mpg imperial....
It sounds like its running rich, issues could be the following
O2 sensor
Air leak
MAF problem
