Car is standard 99 uk wagon turbo
standard aprt from h+s centre decat section and prodrive rear box, what bhp difference can I expect roughly and any difference in noise do you think? many thanks in advance guys
or would i be better off going for a decat up pipe? basically just want to release a few more horsies!!

A full decat will be louder and will release more burble. Should help with turbo spool time as the exhaust gases can flow more freely.
Won't be that much BHP difference, but every little helps as they say
Removing the exhaust manifold, porting them and heat wrapping them, will also help, and give you some more torque.

The up-pipe on your car doesn't have a cat, so no need to worry about that.
If changing your exhaust around I found the biggest gain was when changing the Downpipe to a decat, +19 bhp from standard.

With this and Magnex cat-back I achieved 273/273 via Ecutek Tek3 @ Powerstation.
Before the remap it was 230bhp with above exhaust changes, so the remap was well worth it
Oh, and a JR panel filter - nearly forgot that.
