Default Blitz SUS induction and Goodridge brakelines

Anyone had these fitted?

Blitz SUS power induction kit
Goodridge brake lines

I'm thinking of getting them fitted, would be good to hear any feedback?

I'm hoping the brake lines will make a difference to the brake feel...

Cheers

I have had goodridge braded brake hoses on my 3 scoobs and have never had any problems. The brake feel is improved in my opinion. I wouldn't expect too many rave reviews on the Blitz SUS cone as a lot on here think it is risky. I ran the same blitz cone on my first 2 scoobs without any issues at all but that may have been luck more than anything. I run a GGR-style K&N cone on the current one.

I had an SUS fitted and it killed 2 MAF's, holding it up to the light and you can see massive holes between the weave, not very good at filtration at all.

Got Goodridge lines fitted as well, nice difference to feel but I've also got DS2500 f&r and a support bracket, oh and Motul brake fluid.

I don't believe that the single layer fine stainless steel mesh design that it uses is the best filtration media. Like I said, I never had any problems myself and liked mine, but......

My first 2 scoobs were had the older classics with the tougher MAF's on them.

Yeah I upgraded my membership and searched the threads, seems like the Blitz is a bit risky?

Thinking about the Apexi power induction kit now, seems to have had better reviews on here.

Anyone fitted it to a Hawkeye?

Thanks guys

Had had the blitz kit for a short time...it had a lovely sound and a bit of a performance gain but once I took it off to look at it, lots of particles inside the filter - not were its supposed to be! Being that these particles were the ones that stuck inside the filter, lots more must of been heading for the injectors and bores - NO THANKS.

Changed it for a universal K&N job - rated to 600 bhp! Filters everything...sweet.

I remember Simon AKA jolly Green Monster saying the Blitz sus was "good for power gains but not for filtration" in a previous post a few weeks back.
Got one on my early classic and it's never caused me any concerns in four years BUT i am going back to a standard air box soon and changing for another model in case of FMIC at a later stage.

4 years and no probs, you've been very lucky - Have you ever checked what the inside of the filter is like for dirt? This all heads towards your injectors, must score them and most likely your bores as some of the bits are very small stones etc...

What wears out bores and damages valve seats isn't the big 'rocks' its the fine dust particles, especially sandy (silicon) ones, a poor filter doesn't destroy an engine, it just allows it to wear out quicker, so after 45k miles it will be worn like a 90K mile engine.

Induction kits are generally bad idea on scoobs anyway (unless its not actually power your after), better stick to a good quality drop in element (K&N/green) just make sure its not overoiled as that can kill the MAF.

Agree bloke, then again small stones will become sand once they've gone through the "crusher" of the injector and bores anyway
