MAF wrong way round?

MY2000 UK .
i s there a correct way round for MAF?
IE should element face filter or away from filter?
replaced same as old one but wondered if it would make a difference.

Yep there is a wrong way round,Should have a arrow on it indicating air flow direction

Cheers, just double checked .never saw arrow before , but was right way (flow on to wire element).
