Default Oil in pipe between turbo/intercooler

Luckily not on the impreza but thought id ask the question here to see if anyone has any ideas??????

I have always done work on my own cars (except the impreza) though my knowledge of turbo's is limited.

My other car ia a zafira DTi. Today I removed the pipe that links the turbo to the intercooler to gain access to change the glow plugs. This pipe had a lot of oil in it - any ideas what this means? Im guessing it is an oil seal thats gone inside the turbo? Is it possible to dismantle the turbo and replace this seal?

Many thanks - Dan
