Default BHP/Torque Out of this lot?

On an 03 STI fitted with PPP, Am going down the route of a new 2.5(STI)short engine, Keeping the standard turbo/intercooler/heads/cams and the sports cat ,I'm adding some new (un-equal)performance headers and up-pipe, and a new de-resonated centre section keeping the prodrive back box, It has a green panel filter with the inlet resonator removed, After a remap what do you think I should be Looking at power and torque wise?

Anyone else done anything similar? Or anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks!

With the std turbo I would suspect around 370-380lbft and 340-350bhp.

Default Bit of a BTTT but,

Would it be worth wrapping the headers? and if so what are the gains?

gains are faster spool up and more torque because of this.

Andy's car is a Spec C so has different cams and other elements.

With the spec list you have, I would say that 340bhp / 380 lb/ft would be most likely.

I wouldn't be surprised if the turbo ran into boost creep problems. You would be better off getting a different turbo or larger exhaust housing. Other than that it will be a torquey engine, but not much top end.

Well, The boost creep problem can easily be solved with a a little porting, most competent tuners will do this,As for the power running out at the top end, viewing some posts on here that really is not the issue, the above exhaust set up is fine IMO and when mapped as a road car you will be looking at 360-370bhp and as much as 400lbft of torque,The spool up will be early and peak torque will be achieved and sustained in a totally different manor to the 2.0 engine, which will make for an excellent drivers car!,

Be interesting to to see a postup of the RR printout, after a remap of course!
