Default Missfire and wont start when hot

Ok here goes, more opinions the better!

Driving the other day car missfires pull into hard shoulder and cuts out, wont restart...

Called AA after 30 mins tried starting, it fired but was missing... When it got hot it started to splutter more and cut out..

Disconnected MAF and exactly the same issue...

Suggestions?!

Hi mate has it started again since then? f not a similar thing happend to me a couple of weeks ago. Mine missfired a few times so i pulled in to a carpark and it shuddered to a stop. Tried starting it again, and it would try to start but then die after bout a second. Found out it was the fuel pump had gone.

good luck

Ok, tried an ignition amp, same problem, and swapped all the coilpacks..

Could the coolant temp sensor cause this issue?!

I will check the spark plugs (drivers side thought half way through doing the coil packs to check the spark plugs), I have an apexi ecu to replace the original (so will try that as well), is it a case of simply plugging it in, or do I need to do any wiring alterations?

What else could cause this problem? crank, cam sensor?

Cheers

Ok plugged in my Powerfc to test if ECU was fualty, but still same issue, I looked at the water temp and it seemed fine (26 rising longer I left it to "idle").

Can I tell if cam/crank sensor is faulty with powerfc?

Or what is causing the missfire..

Cheers

you can't tell if a crank sensor is faulty with the power FC. Had this problem recently and only way to diagnose was to get a hold of a working cam and crank sensor pair and swap them in turn to see if car started.
