Hi, i first brought my00 5 years ago not knowing anything about them. First mod k&n 57i kit, turbosmart bov, decat down pipe. After four weeks of motoring with the mods it went BANG. Scrap the bov scrap the k&n unless your going to get it remapped soon and use the o/e bov and a panel filter. Mine went bang because the induction kit had killed the maf sensor and that was that

I can only tell you of my experience with the sti.
I ran a k&n intake for a couple of months before i got a remap.
When I did go for the remap, I was told by tuner can was running a bit lean.

the best thing is to get an intake, exhaust, fuel pump, and remap all at the same time.
