What is it?? it`s an ECU, different to ecutek in the sense that, that`s just a map of excisting one. I had Autronic fitted to my Evo, had the anti-lag mapped with it which was fun, cost is around 1400-1500quid, but imo unless you`re going for big bhp i personally wouldn`t bother, you can also have motec-gems etc but they`re a tad more expensive...

Are you thinking of having it? what car have you got??

No, i only ran it now and again for abit of fun, it`s not a fully blown WRC style anti-lag, just pops & bangs, but still not the best idea for turbo life..

Mind you, i think you get have anti-lag with ecutek now, i know you can have launch control, but not with the classic shape..

i run an autronics ecu !! but until i started running big power i think the ecu is a waste of cash as a tek3 remap would be more suited

yea runs on a seperate map (controls the ignition timing and fueling)..

I've looked into Autronic. From Mark Sheid its about 1500+vat fitted and mapped for the SMD direct replacement board and closer to 3k for SM4, which is all singing dancing and I think that it gives you head for that price too..

SMD is a variant of SMC which is the old entry level now obsolete.. It won't have anti lag, multipul maps, launch control and traction control. Not that you need TC with a scooby (nor use it as you need an undriven wheel).

Looked at MOTEC from owen developments and they wanted 3k fitted and mapped for their midle of the range model. They are a little over priced though

Yes in deed, mate.. Hear nothing but good things about him. Not met him yet. But had quite a chat with Rod Tarry (bloke with the 200MPH sierra).

Thinking about using him when I start to push the power envelope. Not too sure about the SMD or SM4 issue, I'd like anti lag but can't warrent spending 1500 just for that!

That`s the trouble, i went for Autronic because i was going to have a forged build on the Evo, but in the end decided against cus it was a tommi mak with only 15k on and it would of been a crime to spoil what was a stunning example

The anti-lag is fun though, we went to a few local meets me and a few mates that had it also, the bangs and flames are mental but like you`ve said 1500 sheets for that is a NO NO...

My baby..

Nothing wrong with the RA mate, tbh i find the RA has bags more character than the evo had, ok it dies around the 130 mark but who cares, it bloody gets there sharpish...

Can't remember the last time I went over 100 lol. I'm all about the acceleration. Not enough places to do 100+ on the road
