Default Defi controller in cup holder

I'm fitting a set of defi gauges and want to locate the link controller in the position of the cup holder in a MY00 classic. Have removed the top golvebox and removed the two screws either side of the cup holder but it doesn't want to come out. Any ideas as to how it comes out? Is there another screw(s) holding it in place that I'm missing? Any help on its removal would be appreciated.

Gav,

This might be a stupid question, but do you have a copy of the intructions for setting limits, playing back etc. for the Defi controller?

M8 of mine bought a v4 STi with 3 defi gauges / control unit etc. and we've no idea how to work it!!!

Prob easy I know!!!

I've used heavy duty adhesive pads on its base and will see how it goes. Seems reasonably secure though. Suggestions for alternative fixings most welcome!
