PFC questions
just a couple of questions regarding pfc
put the apexi and commander on a friends '94 wrx to set TPS voltage as it had been removed, the sensor check highlighted tps at near 5v closed throttle but when you open throttle it drops down close to 0 volts?????
isn't this the wrong way around? shouldn't it be very low voltage closed throttle and high open throttle?
how can this be the case?
and also starting the car it didn't run too badly but it won't let you rev over 2k as it then cuts the injectors..........why is this? (car does have a bleed valve on.....could it be related?)
cheers guys
Mark.

It won’t run well at all if it’s seeing max voltage on idle it will over fuel massively it should see around .048v on idle and around 4.8 Wot. Has the tps sensor been fitted back up correctly? I would say the problem is at the wiring of the tps end.

hi, thanks, there is only one way to fit tps??? the wiring plug will only fit one way round, I really can't understand why it would read the other way round???
I don't think the readings are correct either because like you say it should be seriously over fueling but with the standard ecu the car doesn't run too badly, just a bit lumpy at idle,.......althought the car hasn't been out for a full throttle run.
confused

tried the fc on my scoob (which runs sweet on standard ecu) and the TPS reading on that is the same (reversed)???? why is this? is the apexi fc dodgy?
it idles quite well on my car but doesn't like to rev much at all. I thought the base maps were pretty good?

early car is high to low voltage on the TPS.. ie. 5v closed throttle and 0v full throttle.. it was then reversed and more senible from 97 on.
not revving over 2k is possible map related.. depends on the map on the powerfc and the mods on the car.. but TPS is normal.
