Default fuel pump relay

hi, i have recently fitted a fuel anti surge tank and external walbro pump to stop the annoying surge i get below half a tank of fuel.

can anyone tell me if the original relay is sufficient to run two walbro pumps ?

same question i asked over on 22b i was told to use the trigger signal but another relay for it

is that what you did because i have just joined into the original feed and it seems to work and has 12.5 v at the pump but is this cheating and asking for trouble ?

Yes, Use the output for one pump and tee off it to the coil of the relay and use the switched output to drive the other pump. Run a seperate fused live to the common of the relay.

thanks, can i use the original earth for both the new pump and relay, and the oe pump ? what ampage fuse and relay would you recommend ?
