MINES ECU ARE THEY ANY GOOD????
I removed the carpets to rewire my mass air flow sensor (brorken harness) and discovered that i have a mines ecu are they any good?? Car is a 93 wrx

got one on my 94 plate import,alot of people call them the kiss of death due to them running alot of advance,have had mine on my car since i got it 5 years ago,not had any probs,mines got sti bottom end,blitz idb3 boost controller etc ,does seen to run a little rich on the afr gauge and i rarely see over 8 on my apexi s-afc,i am in the process of buying a power fc,

several people have had engines let go on the Mines ECU.
Out of all the Jap stuff i.e Prova, ZeroSport, Jun etc... I think I have heard of more issues with Mines & ZeroSport. With Prova being slightly better.

the prova map I have seen is set to 16.5psi with quite aggressive ignition timing.
It was quite well mapped compared to some of the others if a little aggressive for UK fuel.
Your chip will probably be an adaptor soldered into the ECU, so not removable unless you know anyone into electronics that feels confident enough to desolder it (I know I wouldn't).
