fitted new rad last night
hey guys
fitted a brand new rad last night,as had a hole in last one, filled in up with brand new coolant untill it wasnt going down inside the header tank. took it for a run, first 5 mins the water temp went straight up to hight, but then after 15 mins of driving went down to half way and didnt move really above that at all. Came out this morning, thought id check the coolant. took off the cap, and it was bare inside the tank, topped it up with bout 200 mm and it came back up to the top. Would this mean the coolant was just sitting in the pipes and rad etc, and it would show low in the tank, or do i need to keep filling up every morning untill it keeps full?
please help guys, i know alot of people had probs with coolant and stuff.
thanks
james

I fitted a new one a week ago, had the same problem, had to top it up a couple of times but after a couple of days it seemed to settle down and the levels remain full, i think mine just had air in the system.
