I've got full decat, the wire snapped off the sensor a while back. I questioned getting a new one but was told "you haven't got a cat, so don't worry!".
So i didn't!
Light doesn't come on either.

Lambda sensor preheater signal AFAIK.
Lambda sensors need to be hot to work so they have a voltage supplied to them whenever the ignition's on, which heats up a little coil inside to get it closer to working temperature from a cold start. It takes a bit of time, but if you have an AFR gauge and you switch your ignition on but don't start the engine, you'll see the lambda reading gradually drift to where it should be as the sensor heats up to operating temperature.
Could be wrong on that, but that's what I always assumed it was, a bit like the glow plug light you get on diesels for a second or two before starting up.
