Question Gearlever vibration

The car is a JDM Blobeye `03 STi, while cruising in 6th gear the lever gently vibrates. If you touch the lever or hold it forward just a few mm it stops vibrating. The noise is really annoying me now as it`s done it for a while. Does it need some grease on the linkage or something tightening up perhaps?

Any ideas what it might be and how to resolve the problem would be appreciated.

Neil.

What gear **** you got? The prodrive ones are good against vibration or some after market ones but some mean you have to screw into the thread
