Question MY05 STi8 PPP - Has the downpipe got a Prodrive Sports Cat?

Afternoon!

A question for the well informed! If you purchased a MY05 STi8 WITH the Prodrive Performance Pack, was the cat in the downpipe replcaed with a sports cat by Prodrive?

Just wondering as I've got a catted downpipe off said car for sale at the moment, but I thought it was just a standard restricitve cat. I would like to know if this is not the case as the value of it changes!!

Cheers in advance (also makes you feel silly when you go on to replace the downpipe with a sports cat! Bit of a waste of time if it had already been done!!!)

Dave.

Value changes from worthless (std) to some value (?£150-200) if PPP cat. It should be PPP cat in your car. AFAIK the std cat has a metal heatshield and looks about 3" dia, the PPP cat on my 03STi has a fibreglass blanket on it and is about 5" dia, almost touches gearbox. Supposed to be quite a good sports cat so a different sports cat unlikely to be any better.

Cheers D1CCY - that's the one sitting in my front room right now!! Ruddy great thing with a fibreglass wrap around it. So must be the Prodrive Sports Cat.

Wish I'd known that a few years ago! SO basically went from Prodrive Sports cat to Full Decat to H&S Sports Decat. What a waste of time and money!!!

Stupid boy, now write out 100 times I Must Pay More Attention In Class!!!

Cheers mate!
