Default Subaru Batteries

Does anyone know how long the gaurantee is on on subaru/varta battery.
I had the battery fitted August 2005 whilst the car itself was still under warranty.
But it has failed on me today and the car won't start.
Pretty sure its the battery and not the alternator
I know some batteries supplied from independents can have a 3 year gaurantee.

OE batteries are hopeless and a warranty replacement will be just as bad. Save yourself a lot of bother and get a Halfords Calcium HCB005. Got one on mine and it turns engine over twice as fast.
