hi could anyone here tell me if theres anyway i can tell if my94 import is an sti or wrx its badged up as sti last owner was unsure he bought it from a second hand dealer as an sti iv had a look at the ecu and its a 6k which is a v2 sti is there a surefire way of telling cheers

 

if you get the model code, it is on the engine plate GC8....... and then look here

MY94 wrx and sti have the same model code. Sti will have alloy intercooler, strut brace, water spray sti seats and a limited edition plate mumbered 1 of 100 or 1 of 200.
Think all my94 are sti 1. Dont think version 2 arrived till my95.
