Word of warning!
Today I fitted my MBC and it has made spool and boost so much more responsive and faster!
Anyway...
When turning up the boost gradually I noticed my gauge wasnt going up much every time I turned it and thought that's odd....then I turned it up another notch and I when I floored it it took off like a rocket then fuel cut (cut power to engine) and the gauge was still only reading 10psi
Oh **** I thought that must have just sit nearly 16psi (15.7 on Z4 fuel cut) so I quickly turned it down but couldnt figure out what was going on as the gauge only read 10psi.
So looking under the bonnet I noticed a big kink in my vac pipe heading to the gauge, ahaaaa I thought it has melted nearly shut so that's why it's not showing the right boost.
Off to the shop for some 3mm new vac pipe, all re-fitted up, boost gauge reading to 13psi so gonna leave it at that as I've been told that's safe as it's not even 1 bar!
BUT be sure to keep an eye on your vac pipes to your boost gauge as they could have crimped or melted so if you think you're running not the boost you should, chances are you are!
