Default Which headers??

I have a full ninja system and de-cat, and absolutely love the sound of it!!

I am after around 330/340 bhp hopefully with similar torque, so will need to change the stock headers. I have read that changing the headers for different ones will get rid of the well-known Scooby rumble?? Are there any you can get which will do for my set-up, which wont affect the sound?? Will just ported/wrapped stock headers do the job??

Im obviously primarily after performance, so will not sacrifice this just for a sound; but would be pleased if I could retain the sound it has now and still have the power!?

Cheers

At that power level standard ones will do the job easily. Ported and wrapped for improved spool up.

Have you heard the noise that tubular headers make on full chat? I absolutely love mine You can hear it for miles

Unequal length retain most of the rumble until about 3,000 rpm.

To be honest as the above post says, you probably dont need them for that level of power. If you are set on them, then you are best getting some with a 3 bolt flange to the up-pipe. Gruppe s I believe have this.

Dont buy cheap headers, as you will end up buying them twice

Up to around 350hp low down response with properly ported and wrapped oem headers will be far better than any tubular design. Small bore tubular headers will give better top end, but only at the expense of low-mid torque..!

Ive just fitted some Gen Spec II headers to my 2006 STI Harvey wrapped the headers and what a job he has made - excellent.

I would speak to harvey before you buy anything. He knows what hes talking about with headers
