hi everyone, just picked up my first scoob today, a 96 STI. Its seems to be running great, the turbo is pulling tops.

I took it out for a good first drive and when i finished got out to let the turbo timer do its thing and quite a bit of smoke started to come out of the air scoop after about 1 minute of idling. I opened the bonnet and it was coming from inside this black square thing with some mesh at the top, just to the left of the intercooler, I pressume it is an air intake for the turbo or something?

The smoke smelled kind of oily i guess but not strong, i doubt this is normal, does it mean my turbo's knackered or something?

I checked the engine oil and there is no mayo in it. Oil pressures were just over 2 bar at idle and 6 bar when drivin.

O/S rocker cover gasket leaking oil onto the manifold.
Not really an issue unless its starts smoking when your driving.
Around £50 DIY or £100+ at a garage.
