Default Smoke Worries (Vids incl)

Right to cut a long story short yesterday a mate of mine said "haha all turbo cars....oil burners" I said "what?" and to my surprise he said "when you just turned it on you coughed a load of blue smoke out of your exhaust!"

OH NO PLEASE NO I thought not turbo/engine death, I cant afford things like this having owned it 2 weeks!!!

So today I've done some videos and research to capture this smoke and would like your opinions please. The vid where I catch the exhaust straight on I THINK I saw it puff a loads of blue but not sure?

Detailed links below, please help:

Initial morning startup
After gently letting the car warm up and down
After a hard drive round the block
After giving it some welly just up the road
After a gentle drive round the block
After a final last fast drive round the block again

So what do people think?

Need help and answers....

Thank you!

Think ur mates talking shat mate, i didnt see any smoke in any vids.you gotta remember, turbo cars do run rich sometimes, like mine, its not been mapped or anything (1995,100 ron supposedly wasnt about in 1995)so on v power i do get a rich smoke sometimes, not often tho, only when ive been plodding for ages like.

dont worry, ive seen some vids of turbo seals gone etc and U WILL know about it !!

Nowt wrong with that as Rig says. The cold start showed no smoke, thats the main one. If yer turbo was knackered all you would see in the mirror is a white smoke screen. I bet yer mate is either got short man syndrome or he drives a Proton.

Is it high miles?
Did it come with any service history?
Is the engine noisey? (don't worry too much about noise from the Lifters, they all sound a bit tinny)
How is the general condition of the car, does it look looked after?

If the answers to the above questions are good then just punch yer 'mate' in the face.

Haha I love you guys, you've cheered me up!

The guy is on 65k miles with one lady owner and it's in fantastic condition, the engine does sound a bit tappety sometimes but nothing like knocking/bottom end.

Thanks for saying it sounds nice lightwave, I think the note is so so gorgeous.

I just dunno what my mate must have been on about, I've had my other mate follow me around in it all day on boost, off boost, everywhere and not a breathe of smoke so I'm starting to feel better!

Thank you all!

PS. He used to drive an Elise, this mate of mine!

Ive seen more blue smoke emitted from an Ants ****

Buy a Smoke pellet (used for testing Chimneys) light it & shove it up your Mates Exhaust, Then give him a shout & watch him **** his pants as his car dissapears in a smoke haze !!

Nothing wrong with yours at all, he's pulling your P!sser.
