Door open/shut who knows?!
Help ! I have a my00 uk turbo with the standard alarm . Just recently the door open light has been flickering on or staying on which means I cant alarm the bugger
I have had the 4 door pins of bent the contacts slightly to make em contact better! also ive cleaned the switch under the bonnet and squirted the boot one with wd40 but nothing makes any difference!
PLEASE any suggestions? I think I must be missing the point some where
Im poss thinking its a wire somewhere not the pins but how do i check this for sure? Or is there a way for the alarm to tell me what is bugging it ? maybe the amount of beeps or something?
Cheers in advance for any help/advice

I assume you have removed each switch and tested it with a powered multimeter (or a simple light circuit) to check if each of them are working correctly ?
If you open the doors one at a time and push the switch in fully by hand or with the switch out make or break the circuit as required does the problem still exist

Hi mate - no i havent tried the switches with a multimeter- i have had them all apart and they all look ok
I have tried one door at a time - makes no difference
I will try the multimeter next
Also i will see if I can pinch a switch off my mates motor and try that
Cheers

If your alarm is a Sigma then you may be in luck. There is a way to arm the alarm ignoring a false trigger point.
