Kev it's meant to be calibrated, not just set to max. Ask them to do it at the rr this weekend. They should set it to max then run the car listening for det ensuring that max revs, and therefore noise, doesn't light up the amber and doesn't det, of course. If it's lighting up beyond the greens and there's no det, then it should be turned down. I guess you could have it set to light up the first amber for a bit more sensitivity. In terms of twisting round the adjuster, it should come to a stop both clockwise and anti clockwise. Mine has a full movement of about 320 degrees.
