Question Pre - remapp queston...

Can you get you car checked by the mapper before you book it in for the full remapp to make sure that everything in the car is running right and all ok or is it a waste of time?

Anyone know the prices?

Your mapper will check how the engine is performing before increasing parameters such as boost, so this probably isnt necessary.

They wont increase the performance before knowing if the engine can cope.

I suspect this is something the mappers live with, as the boost increases, plug gaps being wrong, coil packs, hoses blowing off etc are not uncommon.

As Andy says... you get used to checking things before you start and correcting some things as you go along.

To my knowledge I haven't had to cancel mapping something due to a problem.. the odd time had to check it again once new coilpacks have been fitted etc..
