Question Re-map for my 93WRX

I know this question has probably been asked numerous times before, but its so much easier to ask the question/s you want and get the answers you need and not what others need

I presume my car hasn't had a re-map before I got it and after the mods were done. I was wondering about trying to sort this out. I have a pipercross (I think it is) induction kit on it, no lamba sensor, the exhaust is a stainless 3" complete de-cat system from the manifold to the back box (passed mot with this on, so will be staying on) and (correct me if i'm wrong) a TD05 turbo as standard! The only other things that have been done is a twin piston Bailey DV and a Greddy boost gauge, which I would presume won't really effect a re-map! I have a print out of a rolling road it had before I got it and that says 256bhp.

Anyway, my question/s is/are: Would I gain much from a re-map (eg. bhp, mpg etc)? Would a re-map be the best thing to do or buy a different ECU and then maybe get it mapped to the car? Would it be best to change the induction kit to something else (another kit but a better quality)? If so, what one and would I see bigger gains? I also have a bigger tmic (face lift classic size) if I was to put this on aswell, would that make a difference to possible gains? Last one What sort of costs would be involved in the above?
Your input will be a great help

Glen.

Early ecus couldn't be remapped but take a look at www.polarperfromance.co.uk (or do a search for Scott T on here).

Apexi do a good kit but you have to sheild it from the engine bay (heat soak).

I knew what you meant lol
But what about the mods I have! Would they actually be beneficial along with a chip or re-map or ECU? Do you know?
