Default Smoke from oil filler ?

Ive fitted some new pipes to my breather system today so the 2 cam breathers and the crank breather all VTA. Ive also removed the PCV valve and blocked off the pipe.

With the engine idling there is a greyish smoke puffing out of the breather hoses,if I remove the oil filler cap or the dipstick there is greyish smoke puffing out of there aswell. There doesnt seem to be any pressure there, just the smoke. If I rev the engine the smoke goes away until its back at idle and then the smoke starts again.

Is this all normal ?

Im using Silkolene Pro-s 10w50

It’s normal to see a "little" oil haze from the crank case breather if its vta. If however it’s excessive it can imply excess blow by.

What is classed as 'excessive' ? Mine sort of 'chuffs' with the beat of the engine and it is a light grey mist coming out, almost looks like steam but its not.
My engine has been rebuilt by Api before I bought the car, about 10,000 miles ago. Some people have said that a rebuilt engine can blow some smoke out of the oil filler etc for various reasons,is this true ?
I compared my car with a mates WRX and his doesnt do this which has made me worry abit !
The car drives fine and no oil gets blown out of the breathers though, just abit of mayo over time ?
