Default Box thingy...

Wonder if anyone can identify something for me, only just noticed it bodge taped to the inside of my front grille.

A small black box with wires going into one end, about 12cms long, 1.5cms deep and 2 cms wide. Has K4 on the front of it, and it looks like it's meant to be screwed into something?

I'll see if I can get some pictures tomorrow.

Followed the wires, which are wrapped in insulating tape.. it runs right around the edge of the engine bay, and through the grommet into the cabin somewhere.

Umm, after Googling K40 it seems scooby-tc was the closest to the truth.

It appears, that it's either some kind of Radar detector or laser detector/difuser.

Now all i've got to figure out is if its actually working or not, and how it works etc.

So a couple of what maybe silly questions.
When people start their cars up, does it normally beep at you.. ie two relatively quiet high pitched beeps?

Also do any of you have a red LED to the left of the "Bright" switch in the centre console?
