Default wont start when hot ??

Please help !! my 94 wrx wont start when its hot , it just sits and turns the engine over as if its run out of petrol

when its cold , it starts no problem , it just seems to do it now and again usually after i go to the garage to fill up with petrol , then when i go to start the car , its a winding match for about five minutes

any ideas what the problem could be ???

Take a look at this thread, here. It could be the crank sensor, I had similar problems on my 95 WRX.

Mine was exactly the same until i sourced a second hand crank sensor and since then its been 100% fine touch wood! Mine use to do it at every petrol station made it quite embarrasing sitting there in a nice looking silver scooby and all you can hear is the cranking of the engine not a nice feeling!

CRANK SENSOR! Bloody things are a nightmare! and it always wont start when your in a public place...what i did when mine went was before starting the car, pop the bonnet and disconnect, then reconnect the crank sensor which usually resulted in the car starting everytime! saves all that embarrasment heh!
