Newage cold air feed from fog cover
Evening/morning all
I'm toying with changing the cold air feed to come from a fog cover. I'm happy cut up one of my STi fog covers, but I want to finish it off properly.
I know in the past I've seen what looks like an ally trumpet fixed into the fog cover. I think 'Betts' car (when he owned it) from the Essex Scooby Crew had this mod.
I have no idea what you call this piece of metal... so does anyone know what it might be called and where I can get my hands on one?
Thanks. J.
Ps. If this post is in the wrong forum... then please move

don't know if this is too small, but it may fit the bill:
eBay.co.uk: Performance Extra End For Cold Air Ram Induction Feed (item 260104822207 end time 15-Apr-07 08:39:56 BST)

That's damn close and has the exact look I'm after. Thinking about it… 80mm reducing to 50mm would probably be about right.
The pipe I'll being use from the end of the 'Ram Pipe' to air box will be larger than 50mm, but it's just the finishing touch on the fog cover that I want to get right.
Thanks for the link

If you want to spend a load of money, you could always get one of them Zerosports Air ducts that fit blobeye cars. No cutting of cover required.
Or even a WRX foglight surround modified with some ducting.

Thought David Hendry Cars would have these in as well?

The Zerosports covers do look the nuts, but I splashed out on the STi covers a while back so can't justify the extra cost.... but they are very tempting!
I'll keep looking. Thank for the help so far.
