Warning light problem
Sorry if everyones heard this all before but here goes. Ive recently had a stainless downpipe fitted to my bugeye and now the engine warning light has come on. Im sure this is to do with the sensor that is fitted into the second cat on the car as the light was not on before the downpipe was fitted. Its got no cats on it at all now so obviously the emissions are different and the sensor knows this and is throwing up a warning. Is there anything I can do to get rid of the warning like removing or disconnecting the sensor. Thanks for any suggestions
sounds like exhaust gas temp sensor fault basically thinking cat is on fire but as you have no cats you can do a fix to fool the ecu
you need to put a 2.2kohm resitor in the plug by o/s suspension turret and do away with the egt
as already said do a search for cel fix and it will give you all the info

You have CEL P0420 (cat below efficiency) and not an EGT problem
To get the best from the de-cat you have, fit a good panel air filter and have the car re-mapped (EcuTeK). This will give you about 260 BHP on the TD04 turbo you have AND the mapper can map out the CEL that you have and it will be gone forever

Sorted !!
