Question probably been asked million times

can anyone tell me any cheap performance mods for a 2002 STI ?
my wallet is a bit light at the mo ! The car is standard apart from cat-back box.

Panel filter is the next cheapest mod. well worth it.
There wont be anymore cheaper mods than that..... oh maybe some denso iridium plugs off ebay!
Oh maybe one more is to change oil in between your dealer service intervals, ie evry 5-6 months or 3-5k miles.... keep engine in tip top condition!
Thats what i would do for cheap mods!!! leave the expensive stuff at rest until your pockets not tight anymore!!!

just uprated spark plugs....

Panel filters - look at the ITG or even better the STI panel filter. There's usually some type of group buy going on with these

The backbox, c/section and downpipe.

Then remap

Didn't someone do a test with panel filters and induction kits and found that the oem was actually the best performing?

Sure it was on here before. Do a search and see.
