On my UK MY99 turbo under accelaration there's a load whistleing noise, only just started and the engine dies when I lift off. I believe this is a dump valve and wastegate issue. Any suggestions? I believe it can be cleaned. Pictures of what to do would help. The car is standard.

 

what year is the car?

It sounds like it could actually be an air leak somewhere.
