Default WRX 03 headunit help

Hi
I need some advice on how to remove the central dashboard area around my stereo and heater system. I am trying to remove my stereo (aftermarket Pioneer, not standard) but can't get to it untill I remove the center panel on the dash.

It's on an 03 WRX.

I have removed the cup holder completely, apparently there is meant to be some clips which then release the surrounding panel, but I have had no such luck in locating these.

Please can any one help?

Thanks

After taking out the cup holder, I then pull out the 2 vents above it, take care, they need a big tug, watch not break anything, then disconnect the hazard light cable. Now your hand will fit in and pull top of the dash trim and as it unclips you'll see the screws holding the head unit in place.

Ok cheers, I'll give it another go. I couldn't find a way of unclipping the center part off once I'd semi removed the vents. I'll take the vents completely out this time.

Thanks again
