Flatspot between 3 and 4k revs
I recently got my car ('04 JDM WRX v-ltd) ECUTEK'd and my car now has a flat spot between 3 and 4k revs. The cat was removed yesterday and a re-tune done and but the problem remains. Does anyone have any idea what could have caused this or how to eliminate it? Spark plugs maybe?

i have exactly the same problem on mine, it's in the garage at the moment, and they have detected a problem with the tps, with interference on it at about 3000rpm which they feel is causing the flat spot problem, we'll soon find out as it is being replaced this week.
i'll let ya know how i get on.

Installed a set of NGX BKR7EIX and the flat spot is gone. The car also feels a little more responsive and the idle and start-up quality have also improved.

Changed my plugs yest to hopefully sort the issue.
I tested it by going into 3rd gear low down the revs and putting my foot flat down and waiting for it to smool up under load and normally it pushes you back in your seat but a few times it didnt seem to boost up and seemed really flat but on the way to work this morn it pulled like a horse in 3rd up a really steep hill..... odd.
Do we think it may still be the plugs? Iv fitted NGK PFR7B's which seem to be a popular choice.
The car has about 310ls's of torque so would they benefit from a re gapping ro 0.6mm?
