Will a 2002 Wrx Engine, Mate to a 1998 UK Scoob ??
02 wrx engine (Complete) to be transplanted into a 1998 UK Scoob.
WIll it fit.
GearBox output shaft ??
Wiring Loom ??
What Turbo is on a 2002 ?
Etc Etc.
What problems would/will i encounter

easy answer is no.. as a fair amount of work..
need to match the rear diff
the wrx02 idle stepper motor won't work with the uk98 ecu..
you cannot fit the idle motor easily to the wrx02 inlet manifold..
you cannot fit the uk98 inlet manifold to the wrx02 engine as the head flanges are different..
you then have issues with ecu map and different turbo, the wrx02 is top feed injectors the uk98 side feed etc..
ideally you need to by a 93~98 (preferably 97 or 98) long engine and use your inlet manifold and turbo..

of course if you have the complete donar car then you could fit engine complete, loom and ecu but a lot of work.. but I think you were after something involving less hassle.
