Disappointing torque figure
I was a little disappointed at my torque from the last RR.
330bhp / 290Lbft torque
I've had the car 3 months now
Its a 04 JDM full decat, green panel filter fitted
To increase the torque is a remap sufficient? at least 330/330 is the figure i'd be aiming for
Also it has a blitz SBC -ID III boost controller, which to be honest I have no idea how to set up, could this be affecting it at all?
Lastly! under the panel filter box is a 'pot' with metal 'tubes' coming out - my wrx didnt have this - ignorance here what is it?
Cheers
Trevor

The bhp figure isn`t to bad though for those mods, i`d go for a remap to up the torque, probably won`t get a massive difference but worth doing IMO...

Yes, but really isnt clear to me (its obviously translated from Japanese!!)- especially as i'm not 100% tech on these kind of devices!

have set up the blitz SBC III a few times.. they are far from user friendly.
From memory so bare with me..
you have 4 settings for boost level, they are all set up on duty cycle and there is no target boost.. you have to set the duty and see what boost it makes..
I would have to have a play to fully remember it is one of those that you try a couple of combinations of buttons and then recall exactly which one to press.
from memory the left **** changes between the settings 1 to 4.. and pressing a holding it makes the setting number flash which then allows you to alter the duty.. you also have a boost cut level on them which again you have to scroll to when the settings are flashing and then alter it by twisting the ****, cannot remember if it is left or right **** though.
Post a link to the translated manual and I expect I could recall exactly how to set it up.

Cheers for the replies guys
Simon i'm probably coming to you for the remap so i hope you do remember!!! lol
The Controller has these settings (it was on ch4 for the rolling road) all set my previous owner - (who did track the car as well )
Channels - ch1 ch2 ch3 ch4 ext OFF
Manual/Auto- M M M M - -
Setting % - 60 50 1.25 51 - -
Gain - 55 15 50 51 - -
setting is a % of boost 0 =stock boost 100 represents max boost
gain is ratio of 1-100 of boost response higher = faster response. it says stock turbo charged vehicles with actator type wastegates will usually use a gain setting of 5-15 percent. External type wastegates usually requires higher gain setting
Auto= full auto mode
dial in desire amount of boost pressure to set boost- warning will not work on twin, sequential turbo or high boosting vehicles
The ideals for controller nubes like me would be on each channel
Standard (is this the auto setting?)
Lower boost- for long motorway stints for instance
Higher short burst boosting - cruises etc
Any help appreciated

lol..
well assuming it has been set up directly to the turbo actuator and compressor cover and the original boost solenoid taken out of the circuit the stock boost and adding 5-15percent is no longer relevant.
