Default Clutch Cylinder Help please

Hi , I just reinstalled my engine after replacing it... upon reconnecting the clutch I have discoverd that when connecting the cylinder pin back up to the clutch fork the pin can easily be pushed back into the cylinder..(also I can see the fluid backing up into the resoivour)

I dont remember it being like this before i took it off... also the clutch doesnt feel like is has full travel at all ... as there is a bit of slack between the pin and for before it engages.

Would this mean My cylinder is dead ? of just a bleed sort this problem out?
Just seems odd as it was find before.

Thanks

no you should not have to bleed it unless you lost fluid? Also be sure the clutch fork is in right as they can easyly come out when installing engine or if you happen to compress clutch while it was all apart you might of sucked air in you can try to bleed it to see if it works??

Cheers, The clutch fork looks like its in situ but I just cant figure out why its so slack against the cylinder pin. and to why the cylinder can be pushed in by hand....??

Any more ideas?

Also does anyone have any tips to bleeding correctly?

Thanks
