Default HELP WITH NOISE FROM REAR PLEASE

As above when you accellerate soft or hard in 3rd 4th and 5th there is like a humming from the rear is it rear end or bearings how do you tell?Also if it is rear end is it ok to drive or will it let go?Can I tell anything by looking at the fluid?Could it be tranny ?I know it is defo. drive train as it has no noise at all at idle or when your not accelerating??? cheers for your help..

Are scoobys known for blowing the rear diff?

is there anyway to tell if it is a bearing and can i change them myself??
