Hi can anyone tell me please how i can up the boost on my 93 classic as she is running just under 1 bar at the moment thanks

 

i think boosting till 1.2 should be fine correct me if i am wrong guys

 

You'll need either an EBC (Electronic Boost Controller), like Apexi, Blitz etc, or an MBC (Manual Boost Controller), Dawes, Turbosmart. Ideally the fuelling needs to be raised to match extra boost, otherwise your engine can run lean. And thats not good.

 

If you were to fit a Dawes the turbo will spool loads quicker. You wouldn't need to set the boost higher. Quicker spool, quicker car.

A genuine dawes can be got from the USA for a little less than £30 delivered..

I may have a unused one of these at home, bought it and never got round to fitting it, won't be needing it now as car is tek 3'd now, i'll have a look this weekend.
