Question Fuel query

Sorry if this has been done before (and I'm sure it has) but can anyone tell me if my newly purchased MY05 Sti PPP will run on BP Ultimate okay? I have been filling it regularly with V-power but have to go out my way to do so, about 16 miles to be exact, and that's about a gallon of fuel! Also has anyone run one on Tesco 99? I read a website of a performance garage that has done tests over an 8 month period and swears by it in the M3 they tested it on.

They also claim better mileage with it and up to 10% more power!! Not that I need that!

Thanks.

Les.

hi,

lots written about this including tesco 99 is actually shell fuel anyway?!

not sure about that - all i can do is tell you about my experience with all 3 fuels.

i live within 1/4 mile of a bp, so i started mine on ultimate....it did 280 to a tank but ran very badly on start up (missing and generally lumpy).

switched to vpower and no lumpy starts and runs nuch better and perhaps more responsive but definately no more missing....but only 240 to a tank.

tesco no missing maybe similar to v power and 250 ish to tank.

i wont put bp in again unless im on a long run and want mpg......but you dont buy a sccob for this !!

so after all that to summarise........tesco 99 because its close to me and vpower as a first choice but less often as its miles away!

cheers and safe driving.
