Default Removal clutch release bearing - HOW!!!

Im puzzled as to how to remove the relaase bearing... is it held on with an invisible circlip......

Help before i launch the dam thing...

oh, its a 1994 wrx but im sure they are all the same...

depends which type it is.. most of them are just sprung in and you just need a large screw driver and / or some force.. other do have a circlip but you would see it..
if not circlip then lever it from behind.. although if fitting a new clutch I would use a new release bearing anyway.. if just refitting clutch and release bearing then you can fit it with the release bearing installed in the clutch just a fiddle as the box and engine line up to get the fork in.

il have a closer inspection... Its just not coming out with force... There must be a clip there...

Im fitting a new clutch and bearing as the backing plate is fine.

Yeah.. not much room for fiddling to get the fork hooked onto the lugs i assume.

not much room but it is not too bad.

you looking on the reverse of the pressure plate yes?

Usually a screwdriver between the zinc plated retainer clip and the release bearing itself pops it out....

you need to push the release bearing into the clutch and then you should see the clip on the pressure plate side of the clutch cover. Pry it off gently using a small screwdriver or similar.

just back.... it was a clip on the back of the plate.. gold coloured clip.. Prized off and out she came...
