no power at 4500 after long journey?
my 2002 wrx seems to have no power from 4-5000rpm then power comes in strong again at 5-7000 rpm.it's like it's holding back. Seems to always happen after long journeys? Can anybody help

would suspect the MAF is failing..
try disconnecting the battery for an hour or two to reset the ecu.. if it is the MAF it will then run like a dog.. ie. don't do it just before you need to drive it!
