Default ECU EXPLORER - SAFE TO RUN?

Is ECU Explorer safe to run on my 2002 WRX?

I have downloaded the software but before pluggin my laptop up to my OBD2 port I want to know that it is safe and not going to effect the ecu or car in anyway.

I only want to use this for analysis. Has anyone else ran this software on there bug eye without any probs?

Cheers

I use it on my MY00 classic for diagnosis only. Works quite well and it will warn you if your going to make any changes to your ECU.

thanks - makes me a bit more confident pluggin it up. I do not want to make any changes, well at the most a reset but only as and when required.

Does anyone know of any software out there where results are shown in graph or guage format?

ECUEdit gives graphs, but I beleive yu have to pay for it now.
The Demo version allows it but you have to wait about 3 mins before it will log anything
