throttle and squeak
I have an Impreza WRX on a 52 plate ppp.
I am getting a squeak noise from my car.
I'm holding it at about 30-40mph in second gear and then I press the throttle hard, I can hear a fairly loud, short squeak from outside.
The squeak isn't instantaneous, its about a second or two after I press the throttle when the car starts to pull properly.
Is this anything to worry about?

Possibly a boost leak that's sealing at peak boost somehow..?
Check all the hose clips from turbo-intercooler-throttle body are tight, also ensure the bolts holding dump valve to intercooler aren't loose. Failing this could be a split hose..?
If still unsure best get it to one of the independent scoob specialists who should be able to pin point the cause.
Where abouts are you..?

The squeaking is getting worse now, it sounds more like a wheeze now.
I don't want to go to a dealer just yet because of the cost, and the fact I know very little about the car puts me in a sitution where I can easily be ripped of by a bull ****ting mechanic.
Surely someone has had the same problem.
