Ive just relocated my boost gauge, I had the dash apart. I put it all back together and started the car, it warmed up but the idle speed wasnt coming down from 1500, it then began to get higher up to 1900. Then the rev counter started going from 1900 to 0 rpm in an on off fashion, at this point I thought I had a charging problem. I did an ecu check and 24 was coming up so I fitted another ISCV. It started to behave as normal, it was idling at 900 when warm.

Ive had the car out on the road and its going fine, one very strange problem though which wasnt there before. If your sitting idling with the handbrake on it idles at 900, if you release the handbrake the engine splutters and the revs drop to 500 and pick up to 700???? I had it running with the black plugs under the dash connected, the cel light is constantly illuminated. If you apply the handbrake the cel light dims slightly and the revs pick up slightly????

Any ideas

 

The car is now fixed, the battery bulb had fallen out of the clocks. Quite amazing this caused such a problem.
