Sounds like Zircotech ? If so, they are VERY good, and not to be compared with some of the alternatives.

However, I would suggest you measure just how many feet there are in a set of headers/up pipe, so you don't get too much of a shock.

Mark.

Had them done by a company called Zircotec they are based on the atomic energy park at harwell just off the A34 near Abingdon Oxfordshire. They are in fact as allready mentioned earlier on in this thread the company responsible for coating the Prodrive parts for the Subaru WRC team. They are also doing parts for the litchfield type 25's. The quality seems to be supurb and the finish is very hard and durable. Cost was 350 quid including VAT seems a lot but mine are perfect equal length so may be little longer then most and at least i won't spend out on wrap anymore !!

You can buy a brand new set of headers with ceramic coating for £450 from Zak at Mocom racing.

Personally I'd spend the extra £100 for new headers aswell as the coating

I'm sure its very good. The Mocom ones are coated with Jet Hot coating which, from what I have read, is pretty good stuff. I do stand to be corrected if I am wrong. Paul you'll know, is it?

The Zircotec stuff is much thicker than pretty much every other ceramic coating I've seen. The Jet Hot coating is like the "satin black" and "ceramichrome" (sp?) coatings AFAIK, and pretty thin. Although the thinner coatings can successfully be applied to the inside of some pipework, whereas the Zircotec doesn't make this possible.
