Default 2006 2.5 STI Intercooler

Hi all,

Is this intercooler a version 9?? I ask as I may be able to get one to attempt to fit to my 96 classic!

I would also require the samco hose kit mentioned in other threads?

Many thanks!

You will have to change the inlet manifold from a gen1 to a later gen2, coz there is'nt enough room for the intercooler between the bulkhead and throttle body!! Its a tight fit!! I'v just fitted an sti8 intercooler to my m/y94 sti and had to cut and reweld the bulkhead to get enough clearance.

the intercooler i used came off a m/y04 sti, so i think the intercoolers are the same size. I could'nt use the standard dump valve as the idle control valve was in the way, so i made a plated pipe to fit the intercooler and run an hks dumpvalve off that.
