hi i have a my98 uk impreza (version 4? coil pack in center of inlet mainfold) 3 plug ecu.

i am looking for power fc i think the model code i need is GC8DL but have been told uk cars are different from imports and need different ecu? anyone shed any light? have searched forum but not found differences between models just years and number of connecting blocks. thanks

I have an Apexi ecu on my 98uk, I also have that decat downpipe, I will be in Wellington Sunday 11.00 to1.00pm and plymouth Friday morning. Mick.

AFAIK Power FCs suit every model in that specific model year. It's simply a case of whether the plug will fit. So a 3-plug Power FC will fit your MY98. IIRC, when a load of people bought Power FCs on a group buy from Japan last year (me included) there were basically three models - v1/2, v3/4, and v5/6.
